Executive Assistant Manager in charge of F&B – Solana Beach

We are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant Manager to support the General Manager and his team in the daily operations of the hotel.

The Executive Assistant Manager must be able to guide the employees to work as a well-functioning team. Therefore, the ideal candidate will be a team player and an effective leader, able to set examples and foster a climate of cooperation and maintain the drive of high quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all service departments and work closely with HOD on a daily basis
  • Develop the food and beverage strategy in order to provide innovative and exciting guest experiences that meet the business objectives
  • Ensure the food and beverage operation achieves its goals and contributes to the guest experience and overall profitability of the hotel
  • Conduct the morning HOD meetings in the absence of General Manager
  • Ensure full compliance to hotel operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures and service standards
  • Builds strong working relationships and timely and accurate communications with hotel staff, HOD’s and other departments to ensure maximum operating effectiveness and fulfilment of special event need
  • Address customer complaints and comments
  • Inspect facilities regularly to ensure that work areas are maintained to standard and enforce strict compliance with health and safety standards
  • Host educational tours together with the Sales & Marketing Team

Prerequisites

  • Strong management skills, ability to appropriately assign or delegate work while providing coaching, advice and assistance as required.
  • Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Available to work odd hours

Education

  • A university degree or diploma in hotel management or a related field with experience in re-opening
  • Excellent computer system skills

Experience

  • At least 5 to 10 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, with significant higher standards and international hotels experience. At least 3 to 4 years of experience as an F&B Manager would be a definite advantage.
