Compagnie de Beau Vallon Ltée is one of the main economic players in the Southeast of the island. We have considerably diversified our agricultural activities over the past fifteen years. From a core sugar-based operation, it has diversified through the cultivation of potatoes, onions, carrots, and palm heart, as well as the establishment of a 3 hectares nursery and deer breeding activities, amongst others.

We are currently looking for a dynamic Agricultural Diversification and Nursery Assistant to assist the Nursery and Agricultural Diversification Manager in his daily tasks. The right candidate will cover tasks divided into three categories namely field work, research work and reports.



  • Assist in the production and selling of products from the nursery
  • Assist during the preparation of the plant production and harvest plan according to predefined objectives for agricultural diversification and the nursery
  • Monitor stock of plants as per the production plan and sales effected
  • Advise customers and handle queries in a timely manner
  • Ensure enhancement of the sales area in the nursery
  • Improve production techniques and physical condition of plants
  • Help defining strategies regarding diversification projects
  • Maintain the appropriate quality standards and specifications regarding the different productions
  • Monitor results of the activities through reports to ensure that targets are met on time
  • Monitor plant disease and insects’ infestations and suggest recommendations
  • Monitor supply of agricultural inputs (fertilizers, soil, pesticides etc…)
  • Effect regular rounds in fields and the nursery to ensure efficiency and efficacy of the team
  • Assist the Nursery and Agricultural Diversification Manager in all activities related to diversification
  • Participate in the development of new agricultural projects
  • Assist with the plant sourcing, testing, and selection
  • Suggest recommendations for green spaces within the company’s land and property developments


  • Assist in the planning of both permanent and contractual employees
  • Manage attendance of permanent and contractual employees
  • Ensure proper follow-up of clients’ orders
  • Ensure regular entry of technical sheet per plantation date
  • Provide statistics as may be requested by the different boards
  • Perform research work to keep track with new trends and counter the effects of changes in soil, climate, weather, and pest damage
  • Liaise with the marketing department to establish an advertising program


  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science / Crop Production or any relevant field
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar position, fresh graduates may also apply
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Good understanding of agronomic practices
  • Knowledge of agri-food chain processes
