Compagnie de Beau Vallon Ltée is one of the main economic players in the Southeast of the island. We have considerably diversified its activities over the past fifteen years into key sectors such as diversified agriculture, hospitality and property development.

We are currently looking for a meticulous and detailed-oriented Assistant Accountant. The right candidate will assist the Accountant in the day to day activities, collect, verify and analyse numerical data and ensure smooth and efficient running of the accounts department.


Accounting duties

  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Verify data and reports received from team members and other departments
  • Assist in the preparation of balance sheet, cash flow, profit and loss statements
  • Ensure that authorisation is obtained before processing any document in the accounting system and effecting payments
  • Verify payments to be effected
  • Ensure that deadlines for payments and reports are respected
  • Maintain accounting databases
  • Monitor bookkeeping activities
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Prepare and review variances against budget
  • Participate in yearly inventories
  • Perform surprise cash count
  • Monitor petty cash
  • Ensure close monitoring of cash flow

Financial Analysis

  • Collect data for preparation of financial reports
  • Assist the Accountant during the preparation of monthly and yearly financial reports in accordance with appropriate accounting standards

Audit Compliance and Statutory activities

  • Attend audit queries and complaints efficiently
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance with financial and tax authorities


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or ACCA(minimum level 2)
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and software
